Marvelous Mesopotamia

Have you ever seen a ziggurat? They are humongous and awesome! There were so many in Mesopotamia. You need to learn about Mesopotamia to be smart. But if you want to be dumb, you can leave right now. Please excuse me, but I and the smart People will be reading this.

Mesopotamia is located in present day Iraq. The Fertile Crescent is a really cool place. It’s what gave the Mesopotamians life, because they lived in the Fertile Crescent! They had many things called city-states. It was near Egypt, and they both used rivers. The ziggurats they used as Holy temples were truly amazing. They had many offices in there.

Some people in Mesopotamia had the religion of Judaism. Abraham of Ur, Went to Canaan by god’s order. God made a covenant to him because he followed his orders. Many years later, when Moses was a baby, the king was killing the first born in every family. Moses’ family sent Moses down the river. Then the princess found him and he lived in the Palace his whole life. Later, he led all the Jews out of Egypt, they wandered for 40 years, and Moses put the Ten Commandments on the mountain. The Jewish people had no other god.

Rivers were very important to every Mesopotamian. The two rivers were the Tigress & Euphrates. without them, Mesopotamia was nothing. In fact, King Hammarabi cut off the enemy's water flow, so the either had no water and died, or they surrendered. The only problem with the Tigress and Euphrates river was that they flooded a lot! and it was always unexpected. Luckily, the Mesopotamians made levees to control the water.

Well, whether it's the Tigress or Euphrates, Abraham or Moses, or just chilling in the Fertile Crescent, Then Mesopotamia is the place for you. It is just all so cool, and I know am cool for reading THE WHOLE THING ! (Remember not to just scan it!) so if you are reading this, then you are smart!
